this, i guess is suppose to be all about me, but that would take forever and i am a slow typer. so i will put a few things and the rest i guess can come through posts.
i was raised in the bahai’ faith by a loving mother and father. I was lucky to live my childhood with my parents together . but they did both have to work alot. i do remember taking lots of trips with them. my mom was a nursing asst. and my dad was a phone man, a sailor, a shrimper, a ferry boat captain, a business man, a computer man, a tug boat captain, a cruiseship captain, a musician, and a song writer. i grew up on the coast, except for 2 years when we lived near washington d.c. my dad is a gypsy and we went were ever he went we moved around a lot. i think that is what made me the kind of person i am today. well, that and other stuff. that is what gave me communication skills. i had to not be shy so i could make friends. i have one brother. he is older then me by like 3 or 4 years.
then when i was 17 i moved with my best friend (at the time) Robin to greenville. she was going to school for theatre and i just went to party. that is were i found the love of my life. we lived in the same apt. complex. me and my friend (antannia) were going to the car and he was walking through the parking lot to play tennis. i looked at my friend and said ” see that man? im going to marry him one day.” and she laughed. he thought we were laughing at him. i didn’t even meet him that day. then a few weeks later robin and his best friend/roommate started dating. to make a long story short we were married about 6 months later and we are still together and happy, with 3 children. that was 15 years ago.
i love music. i get that from my dad. before i became a christian i loved all kinds of great music (what am i talking about. i still do)/especially(i know its spelled wrong) the grateful dead . i still like them alot but my favorite band at the moment is Caedmon’s call. i wish i could get a sticker and put in on my van next to my dancing bear.
i am a pre-school teacher and a mommy. i love to read God’s word and study it and talk about it.
anyway, this has already been longer then i planned so i will add more later.
jamie i have never heard that story about how you and michael met. interesting. also i have never noticed the dancing bear sticker on your van?
I LOVE Caedman’s Call too Jamie.
I have heard this story before, but it is still so sweet to hear, especially since my story with John is so similar. You are doing such a great job, girl! Keep up the great work!
LOVE that story. : )
loved your comment.
please keep me in your prayers, and continue rading my blog. i LOVE getting comments from random people.
it’s like having a pen-pal, but you dont have to pay for postage. haha
have a wonderful day!
Wow Jamie.
I read this a while ago I remember, but now I read it again after getting to “know” you a bit better, and now I know you a bit better still!
I also love music. I used to play in a band, and I’m considering joining a praise & worship band again now that I have the freedom and time to do it again.
I’m feeling all happy tonight.
